This is a very nice French WWI Kepi for an Artillery officer. This is a worn example with gilt bullion wire piping and caduceus, gold ribbon chinstrap and gilt artillery cross cannon buttons. The interior is worn with a leather sweatband and silk lining. The crown is embossed in silver Zimmermann Meorlot TOUL. The leather visor is sturdy but shows age and dryness.
